Any photographer essentially takes pictures of the emotions he or she feels. I also always try to express the overall feeling of the subject when I take a picture. In that sense, photography of a person as a subject is very embarrassing to me. People's emotions are very complicated and their expressions are subtle. This is why I always have a conflict of mind when I take pictures and when I look at them again - can I express the feelings of the person being photographed properly?
Again, there are not many pictures of people I took. I don't dare.
He is both a monk and an old man. What does he think and what dreams he has? He's sacrificed a lot to make a part of the world better, and now he is resting in the warm sunshine. As I like Buddhist ideas and atmosphere, this photo makes me think a lot.
Let's pray that Myanmar will be peaceful and the people of Myanmar will regain their smiles.
